September Favourites

Hey, so September is over which means not only are we in the scariest month of the year because of Halloween but unfortunately school is now back into the full swing of things which means it’s time for my September favourites:

Makeup:

Body shop fresh nude foundation – I don’t really know why but when I first got this foundation I was not a big fan of it and I don’t really know why because at the moment it’s the only foundation that I have really been reaching for, it leaves such a nice finish on the face with a good amount of coverage but still leaving a natural looking base which is great for adding colour over the top and helps leave the whole face looking a lot better.

Mac Whirl Lipstick – I recently got this on my summer holidays in Macys in New York and this is my first mac lipstick but since getting and I was so excited after trying it because it is such a nice formula with great pigmentation and I have been wearing it non-stop, the colour is such a gorgeous brown nude which really fits with the new trend of dark brown lipstick and what I love most about this lipstick is how wearable it is.

Elf baked eyeshadow palette in California – so this is something else that I picked up when I was on holiday for a really great price, I was actually quite happily surprised with these shadows, I thought the pigmentation could be slightly better but apart from that I think that this palette is perfect especially if your just starting out with makeup because honestly I think the colours in the palette work together so well and they are all you could want in a palette.

Elf eyeshadow primer – now I feel really quite guilty to say that I barely ever use eyeshadow primer because I have never found that it makes a lot of difference and overall they are just a waste of time but recently I have been using this primer which I think actually works, it really does prolong the wear of eyeshadow and I think that it may even make the colour on the eyelid stand out a little more as if making it more pigmented.

Body, Hair and Skin:

Yes to Moisturiser for dry skin – I have spoken about using this in a recent post, basically what happened was recently when I went on holiday I forgot my lip balm so I didn’t have anything to moisturise them so rather than going out and buying a new lip balm I read online that moisturiser can be great for a lip balm so I have been using this moisturiser and it really works well and would definitely recommend using a moisturiser as it works really well.

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover – I’m really sorry if I have mentioned this in one of my other favourite posts recently which I think I might have but I just love this product so much that I just have to talk about it, basically you use it to remove your nail varnish you just dip your finger in twist your finger about a bit and the nail varnish comes off, I just think is such a handy thing to have especially when it comes to travelling.

TV Show:

Friends – now despite the fact that this is one of the most raved about shows in the history of American TV but I was never really a massive fan of the show but when I went on holiday it was American Netflix so I thought what the hell and I started watching it but now I am a massive fan but I don’t need to tell you how amazing this show is all I will say is that am I a massive Rachel and Ross shipper and I think Ross was right, they were totally on a break.

Music:

Hailee Steinfield (I think that is how you say and spell it) – I honestly don’t know how I came across this artist, I think that she just popped up on my Spotify one day and to be honest I just haven’t stopped listening to her since, she’s the only thing that I have been listening to while I do my makeup, I just wish that she would release more music so that I could listen to more of her, I would definitely recommend her to someone looking for someone new to listen to.

Random Thing:

Lists and to do lists and any list in general – now I’m a massive nerd when it comes to stationary so when I recently bought some to do lists, I have been using them non-stop and I think I have become a little obsessed with making lists of literally everything I can think of and I think that it is getting slightly out of hand but yay I love to use lists and if you a stationary nerd like me I hope you enjoy them to but don’t get too obsessed like me.

I hope you enjoyed this and let me know what you have been loving. Let me know of anything you would like me to talk about in another future post. That’s all for now,
