Hey, so last week I talked about back to school
advice but this week I wanted to talk about how to handle stress especially
when you have exams or work in school:
Take breaks
The thing about
working or stressing over something is that you have no time for you so plan times
that you can take a break in between working, this allows you to take some time
for yourself and take a break from working so that you can actually have a
chance to relax and get some rest. If you plan how long and when you will take breaks
this will allow you take breaks without giving yourself the opportunity to
procrastinate.
Take your mind off whatever is bothering you
The best way to
stop stressing about something, especially if it is something that you can’t
change is to take your mind of it and by that I mean distract yourself in any
way that you can so you don’t have to continue thinking about it at all times.
Even if you distract yourself with something ridiculously boring it is better
than thinking about your problem all the time, the more you think about
whatever is bothering you, the worse you will feel about it.
Do things that make you feel happy
The more that you
stress about things the more unhappy which will just eventually make the situation
worse and worse and you won’t be able to feel happy, so take the time out of
your day to try and make time to do something that makes you feel as happy as
possible and that will make you feel good. I always think that trying to be
happy will make everything around you feel a lot better about everything else.
Sleep as much as you can
Although sleeping
is probably one of the most boring things in the world, it is also kind of like
a medicine that can cure all but to me if your stressed, the best thing is to
sleep as much as possible because the more the sleep you have the better you
feel both physically and mentally which can really help to put things into
perspective which can make you feel a lot better. Sleep can also help to relax
your brain which will also help you feel less stressed.
