My Top 5 Christmas Movies

Hey there, so with just over 19 days to go until Christmas day you need something to watch on the TV in the evening or on a lazy Sunday afternoon which is the perfect opportunity to pull out the cushions and snuggle up on the sofa to watch a Christmas movie. To help you pick which movie you want to watch, here are my top 5 Christmas movies to watch in the cold winter season.

-So rolling in at number 5 is “a muppet Christmas carol” which is a movie using the well-known characters, the muppets, to play on the classic tale which was originally written by Charles Dickens about an old man called Ebenezer Scrooge. This movie is hilarious and is incredibly Christmasy and festive and really gets you in the mood for Christmas.
-Next on the list is “How the Grinch who stole Christmas” which is a story by famous author Dr Seuss about how a green wrinkly creature is joined by his dog max and decides to ruin Christmas for the residents of Whoville. This movie is an old style movie which is perfect to watch with the family.
-At number 3 is “Elf” which is an American comedy about a toddler who was sent to the North Pole to grow up with Santa’s elves but he never really felt like he fitted in so he travels to New York to try and find his real father. This movie is incredible and although was only made in 2003 will now for me forever be a classic.
-Another absolutely completely Christmas filled dream of a film is “Arthur Christmas” which is about Santa’s son who didn’t fit in with the whole operation of Christmas struggles to cross the planet in the space of a few hours to make sure no child is missed and Gwen knows that Santa loves her too. I have only just watched this film for the first time a few weeks ago and I have already watched it again twice since then and I will never have another Christmas without it.

-Without overselling it, the makers of the classics “Notting hill” and “Four weddings and a funeral” gifts us with the masterpiece of “Love Actually” which is a mixture of stories which end up with heart-warming endings which always make me cry. For me this film doesn’t just bring the happiness of Christmas to me but it is the meaning of Christmas, but not overselling it. And you can't go wrong with Hugh Grant.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas movie picks for you to watch and enjoy, if you know of any others that people should watch then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That’s all for now,

Bella xxx
