My Top 5 Drugstore Foundations

Hey, so I know that I have extreme trouble trying to find a good foundation but I’ve come very close to some perfect foundations so here is my top 5 drugstore foundations:

-Rimmel London Wake me Up foundation – this is great for people with dry skin or dull skin as it can really brighten the skin and make you either look younger or more rested.

-Bourjois Healthy Mix – this is a great coverage foundation which can be great for your skin however the colours can be quite dark and that can be a problem for the pale skinned like me.

-L’oreal Paris True Match foundation – this foundation blends really nicely into the skin however the coverage can be quite poor but I still think that it is a great foundation.

-Revlon 24 Hour Colour Stay – this foundation is really easy to put on the skin smoothly and really does stay for ages however it doesn’t really work with oily skin.

-Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation – I find that this foundation is amazing for all skin types and has great coverage and has a really nice feel on the skin.

I hope you enjoyed my top 5 drugstore foundations, if you know of any other ideas that people could use then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That’s all for now,

Beauty Table essentials

Hey, so I have begun tidying up my beauty table I realised that it is completely overly cluttered with things that I don’t need on there, so I have made a list of my beauty table essentials to share with you:

-A beauty blender, I find this essential because they are really good for blending out your foundation or concealer and it’s a lot easier to blend with a sponge and they a lot easier to clean then makeup brushes and they are useful for getting the places which are difficult to reach and they also are good for not leaving brush marks on the skin.

-Makeup brush cleaner, this is really useful to help keep your brushes as clean as possible to stop the build-up of makeup making them cleaner and a lot nicer to use and a lot better for your skin otherwise you are just putting the old bacteria on your face causing skin problems like acne.

-A light, it is important to have a light so that you can see what you doing and what you will look like in natural lights, it is important that you have a well-lit area not just one light and that you don’t use a light which is extremely yellow or orange.

-A mirror, this is an obvious essential because you need to see what you are doing in the mirror, the bigger the mirror, the better the results and also you need to keep it as clean as you can. You can also buy mirrors with built in lights, that could be helpful for the light but most of those lights aren’t powerful enough.

-Makeup remover and cotton wool pads, this is for when something goes wrong like getting mascara on your nose, that actually happens, or you have overdone the contouring or the bronzer or an eyeshadow colour doesn’t work for your look, honestly it is one of the most useful things to have a solution an easy reach away and don’t know what I would do without it.

-Makeup brushes, it always easier if you can just quickly reach for a brush in the morning when you are sleepy and you can’t really handle to walk around trying to find every different type of brush, just find an empty jar and put them all in there for ease in the morning, I just find it a lot easier in the morning.

-Your makeup supply, obviously when you’re doing your make up you need to have your makeup right next to you so you can easily reach for them in the morning, to me my beauty table is all about ease in the morning and everything being as quick as possible.

-Makeup remover wipes, this is another quick solution for wiping away the makeup which has gone wrong and they take a lot less time when something goes wrong however actually makeup remover is a lot better for you skin and they should not be used instead of a cleanser.

I hope you enjoyed my beauty table essentials, if you know of any other ideas that people could use then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That’s all for now,

My Makeup Bag Essentials

Hey, so with my makeup bag getting fuller and fuller with non-essential stuff I made a list of makeup bag essentials, the only things you really need in your makeup bag (not including makeup brushes) and I thought I would share it with you:

-Primer, although not many people find it essential I always find that after primer it’s easier to put on your makeup to a good standard, so this is an essential for me but not for everybody.

-Foundation, this is probably used by everyone for a great first layer of coverage which you can also build up in layers for more coverage however if you want to use less coverage then you can just us concealer.

-Concealer, this is perfect for those little things that your foundation just won’t cover, I don’t use this as much but it is perfect for some extra coverage.

-Powder, this is perfect for setting your foundation and making your skin look more matte however some people don’t like to use powder as it can make your skin look quite dry and some people want to look quite fresh.

-Mascara, this is a life saver for those of us who were cursed with short eyelashes and it really helps your eyes to stand out, you can either use a coloured mascara (usually black) or clear mascara which is easier to use but works less on extending the lashes.

-Eyebrow pencil, now we all know the pain of the eyebrows, they are either too thick or have hairs everywhere or are too thin or the wrong colour so with a quick swipe of the eyebrow pencil you can at least attempt to make them look decent however some people don’t need an eyebrow pencil as they are blessed with perfect eyebrows and I envy them so much.

-Lip balm, this is probably the most used thing in my makeup bag and I carry one around with me everywhere, I hate the feeling of chapped lips especially in the morning and this is probably used by everyone and the easiest thing in the world to get hold of.

-Eyeshadow, now not everyone uses eyeshadow but it is important if you do you use it then you can either use a powder or a gel or cream and one or multiple colours but if you use multiple colours then please make sure that they are similar.

-Eyeliner, personally I don’t use eyeliner as I have a weird thing wear I can’t get to close to putting something in my eye but whether its gel, liquid or pencil lots of people will refuse to leave there house without a layer of black around the edges of your eye.

I hope you enjoyed my makeup bag essentials, if you know of any other ideas that people could use then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That’s all for now,

Christmas Skin Routine

Hey, so Christmas is a great time to give your skin a revitaliser, so here is my Christmas skin routine:

-I start with the Neutrogena visibly clear pore and shine daily scrub, this clear my pores of oil and soothes the skin really easily and I think all the Neutrogena products are great for skin.

-Next I use the simple spotless skin triple action face wash, this uses a gel sort of wash to clear the skin of makeup and I love the simple products for healthy skin and not using artificial substances.

-Then I smooth my skin and comfort it with the simple kind to skin soothing facial toner, this is very kind to the skin and soothing, this is another great simple product.

-I then use the yes-to tomatoes combination skin daily balancing moisturiser, this is a thick moisturiser which is perfect for the harsh winter air from a cheap but effective brand.

-Finally, I use the fast track spot treatment gel by freedom on any spots that I have, this brand is great for relieving your skin of spots and pores.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas skin routine, if you know of any other ideas that people could use then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That’s all for now,

Christmas Makeup Look

Hey, so at Christmas I am desperate for my skin to look good for all the family and friends photos:

-Firstly, I even out my skin with the baby skin primer, this is a great investment as it helps to put the makeup on, this isn’t essential but it does help.

-Next I use foundation to cover up any blemishes and my uneven skin tone, I use the Rimmel London Match Perfection, I use this as I think Rimmel London foundations are great for coverage.

-My next step is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer to cover any other spots or blemishes that aren’t covered by the foundation already.

-I now set my foundation with my powder, my favourite powder is the Stay Matte Rimmel London, not only does it work feel with all skin types.

-I fill in my eyebrows using the MUA eyebrow pencil in the shade blonde, this is an unessential step because not everyone has sparse eyebrows.

-I then use a gold eye shadow to bring out the colour, I usually use a eye shadow with glitter as it goes very well with the Christmas season, I use the No7 gold dust.

-My next step is mascara and I use the Lovely Lashes by No7 as it is really great quality, I find that this mascara is the only mascara that doesn’t clump but still gives great volume.

-Finally, my final step is lipstick and the only colour possible for Christmas is a red lipstick, my favourite red lipstick is the Rimmel London Kate Moss in the shade 01.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas makeup look, if you know of any other ideas that people could use then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That’s all for now,

Winter Beauty Essentials

Hey so because I couldn’t include everything in my first winter essentials lights, I decided to write a different one for just the beauty essentials which are so important to try and protect your skin from the harmful cold air which can be really drying, so to try and prevent the here are my winter beauty essentials:

-Hand cream is a must to try and keep your hands as moisturised as possible which can be extremely hard but the best thing to do for your hands is to get a really thick and really moisturising hand cream which is really easy to carry around with you.

- So every winter two things happen to me, I get a cold and I get really dry lips so it is so important to have a lip balm in your pocket to protect your lips because not only is it really painful but it doesn’t look nice and sometimes it can damage your lips long time so remember to top up as often as you can.

-So for the festive season, the only lipstick you can wear on Christmas day or wear to a Christmas party is red lipstick to go with the festive colours however instead of a lipstick you can use a tinted lip balm or you can use a lip stain or lip pencil which will last a lot longer.

-Although one of my most hated chores is moisturising, a good body moisturiser, if you don’t like the sticky feel of a moisturiser, don’t skip it, when I feel like that I always use the Vaseline spray and go moisturiser which is really easy to use in the morning when you are in a rush.

-Something which are good for repairing skin are face masks, they can also protect skin for the cold and stop it from becoming dry, also with self-heating face masks then you can keep warm while doing your skin a lot of good.

-Long baths are good for lowering the levels of stress that come with Christmas and they are very relaxing also add some bath bombs for an extra relaxing and special baths.

-Massages are also really good for decreasing stress levels and to stop having muscle ache and it’s good to get some you time once in a while and if not now at the most wonderful time of the year then when.

- A body scrub is good for exfoliating away the dry skin caused by the cold air damaging your skin, exfoliating is extremely good for the skin and it is good for long term protection of the skin.

-In the drying cold, your face is constantly exposed to the cold air, something really important is a face moisturiser which protects your face from the cold and maintains a good base for putting makeup on.

-I always find that in the winter a fresh gel face cleanser keeps you feeling fresh despite the constant cosy feel and I feel gel cleansers are a lot kinder to skin and leaves the skin feeling a lot softer than any other cleansers and this is especially important in the winter time.

I hope you enjoyed my winter beauty essentials for you to use and enjoy, if you know of any others that people could use then please feel free to leave them in the comments below, come back tomorrow for another post. That's all for now,
